BT Jackson most recently had the pleasure of shooting the Fox Digital feature film, E.T.X.R. now available on Netflix, iTunes, and Amazon.com. Her previous feature, an official selection of the Bel Air Film Festival, The Forest, was available for two years on Video On Demand through Comcast.
Jackson also enjoys working as a second unit DP as well, after all they are the ones who get to film all the stunts and explosions! She and the camera were charged by a horse head on in Princess and the Pony, and hopefully did justice to the work of the great DP, Joe Pennella, while filming the first kiss and concluding scenes of Commencement.
As a cinematographer she has shot music videos for a variety of up-and-coming artists, Hot Dollar, The Strokes, and Kings of the Revolution. She has worked on commercials for Habitat for Humanity, Cedars-Sinai Hospital, JibJab, and Sprint among others. She has experience with multiple formats including 35mm, 16mm, and various forms of HD cameras ranging from ARRI Alexa, Canon C500, C300, and RED.
Jackson received an MFA from the University of Southern California's Cinema Television Program. She worked her way up electric-side, gaffing a top ranked web series Clean-up Crew as well as the independent feature Detention featuring David Carradine.
